Event Details

Debra Paul will explore business analysis within the broader context of the business change lifecycle. This will include a discussion about the evolving role and responsibilities of the business analyst and will highlight some of the current issues with business analysis practice. This presentation will also consider why effective business analysis is critical if organisations are to achieve the predicted benefits from business improvement projects.

 

Debra Paul FBCS CITP is the Managing Director of Assist Knowledge Development, a training and consultancy company specialising in business analysis, business process change and solution development. She has extensive experience in all aspects of business analysis and business process improvement. Debra is the BCS Chief Examiner for Business Analysis and is an accredited SFIA consultant. Debra jointly edited and wrote the best-selling BCS reference manual, Business Analysis, and is also the co-author of the BCS reference manual Business Analysis Tools and Techniques.

 

Debra is a regular speaker at business seminars, is a member of the organising committee for the Business Analysis Conference Europe 2011 and is a founder member of the BA Management Forum.

Welcome to the British Computer Society Isle of Man Section website. Our section was created on the 7th of July 2004 as an international section of the BCS on a par with other similar sections such as Belgium, Switzerland, Hong Kong, and the recently formed Jersey and Guernsey sections.

Our Section holds either a professional or social event each month from September to June. There may also be impromptu social events in July and August. Our events are normally open to non-members.
